My brother’s neighbours have a very unusual white cat: unusual because it is white, has a green and blue eye, is stone deaf and despite looking calm and pleasant, is a bad-tempered little bastard.

That would be the cat, then. Ever needful of tasty treats, he came and stood on the coffee table as I was messing about with my camera, trying to think of what to shoot tonight. Result.
Feeling a bit more relaxed with the 50mm f1.4, it’s a bit random in terms of getting pin-sharp, but I’m wondering if I turn off the AF assist points, that may help, as it gets somewhere around the centre point in focus, so maybe it’s using those despite having just the centre point chosen out of the user-choosable ones… will have to try.
Anyway, in this shot his little eye is sharp as you like, very comforting, that.
